Space Bar Add-on for the Bind-it-All

May 8th, 2009 by Cougar Design

The Space bar is an optional addition to your Bind-it-All. It is great for specialty projects that use the smaller diameter wires, so that the wires and pages can require ribbon or stitching to hold them together.

Space Bars are available for the original blue Bind-it-All, as well as the Bind-it-All V2.0.

Instruction below. Full guide with pictures is available here.

  1. Install the space bar by holding it on the left and sliding it into the punching channel
  2. Use any of your wire templates to push the space bar all the way down into the punching channel. Helpful Hint: *Be sure to push the space bar down all the way as shown in picture below to prevent it from getting in the way of your punching.

Using your own Inner Pages

August 8th, 2008 by Cougar Design

If you are creating your own pages, versus using the Zutter pre-packaged covers and pages for the BiA, they need to be 1/4-inch smaller from top to bottom and 1/8-inch smaller from left to right. So a 4 x 4 cover would need 3 7/8 x 3 3/4 inch pages. If you are creating your own pages so they are the same size as the covers, punch everything on “C”.

If your Round-it-All is stuck in the pressed down position:

(See the original page that includes pictures.)

Would be to simply hit your Round-it-All against a soft edge such as shown on picture “A” where you see a plastic trash can. You can hit the Round-it-All a few times against the soft edge. This may very well cause it to release. If this step does not work proceed with the following. Read the rest of this entry »

DreamKuts Capability Notice

August 8th, 2008 by Cougar Design

February 2007 – Important Notice about DreamKuts!

  • DreamKuts will NOT cut chipboard – in either cutting slot!
    • In fact, attempting to cut chipboard will cause severe damage to your unit by separating the cutting blades from their proper positions. This will force the blades to “score” rather than cut.
  • The two paper guides on the front cutting slot are anchored permanently and are not meant to move. These guides ensure three even strips cut at 4” wide. This front slot is for 12” wide paper only.
  • On the back slot, the paper guide adjustments on both sides are self-centering and are to be adjusted by using both hands at once, one on each side to properly engage the self-centering gears.
  • The decorations that appear to be turning wheels on both sides at the back of the machine are not intended to move
